How to Set Up This Letter Matching Activity
Supplies Needed
- Letter Matching Fish printable
- Scissors
- Laundry basket
- Toy fishing pole (or a stick and string)
- Open floor space
Directions
- Print and cut out the fish.
- Scatter the fish around the floor.
- Place your child inside a laundry basket and let them pretend it is a fishing boat.
- Give them a toy fishing pole or create one using a stick and a piece of string.
- Have them “catch” a fish by touching it with the end of the string.
- Once they catch a fish, challenge them to find the matching uppercase or lowercase letter fish.
Continue until all the letter pairs have been matched.
