It may not be cold enough outside to build a real snowman, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have some wintertime fun indoors! Instead of using real snow, we’re going to show you how to make a snowman using contact paper and cotton balls! This contact paper snowman craft is perfect for kids of all ages and is a great activity to do as a family. Best of all, it’s super easy and only requires a few materials that you probably already have around the house. So grab some construction paper, contact paper, cotton balls, and tape, and let’s get started making easy snowman crafts for kids!
What You’ll Need:
To make your own contact paper snowman, you’ll need the following materials:
– 1 roll of clear Contact Paper
– 1 Black Marker
– Cotton Balls
– Construction Paper in various colors (black, red and orange) OR this printable
– Painters Tape
– 2 inch Googly Eyes

To Do This Fun and Easy Snowman Crafts for Kids:
- First, decide if you want to use the printable I’ve made for you or if you want to cut them out of construction paper. If you’re using the printable, all you do is print and cut. Or, you can trace or free hand them on construction paper and cut them out that way
- Then, unroll your contact paper on a table or counter with the sticker side down so the clear contact paper is face up and the paper side is down on the table.
- Then find pots, pans, bowls or anything else round you have around your kitchen or house and lay them on the contact paper to get an idea of what size you want your snowman parts to be and make sure the sizes look good together. Then trace them with a pencil or pen, so you dont get marker on your dishes and go over it with a black marker.
- Pull the back off the contact paper and tape it to the wall sticky side out. Mine wasn’t perfectly straight, if you have anyone who can help you the extra hands would definitely be helpful on this part.
5. Let your littles decorate their snowman using the cutout pieces and cotton balls!
