Fun Outdoor Fall Toddler And Preschool Activity | Autumn Activities For Preschoolers And Toddlers

autumn activities for preschoolers scavenger hunt activity bins

Fall is a great time to get outside, explore and do fun toddler activities! Today, we’re going to go on an easy outdoor scavenger hunt. It can be so much fun to explore your yard to find acorns, different colored leaves, pinecones, berries and more. This is a perfect activity for your busy toddler or preschooler – they will love finding all of the different items in their own yard!

The best part is there’s no prep and nothing to purchase! You can do this at a moment’s notice, just grab a basket or bag and head outside! I printed pictures of what we were looking for and taped them to the bottom of the bins. This isn’t necessary but it did help with sorting.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • A list of items to find (see below) adjust this depending on what your kids will find in your yard
  • Pictures of the items you’re hunting (optional)
  • A bag, basket or bin to collect the items in

You can just use anything you have on hand or you can use the links below!
